One of our members is looking for extra pallets for extra compost bins on a project in South Hams. Contact Jerry dfj.neville@btinternet.com Compost available? One of our members is looking for a large amount (up to 10 tons) of good quality compost for use in an organic system. It is important that the compost is free from rubbish (which tends to exclude compost from municipal collections). If anyone has any ideas of where they could source some from it would be greatly appreciated (they are willing to pay for it). Ideas can be posted on this noticeboard or emailed/phoned to HogCO. Oakwood Denbury Project is near Denbury, Newton Abbott. Help is needed with drawing up a base map showing the whole design of the site identifying where the different zones are and the design elements. The site has huge potential, with space for all the zones in time so that the site can become a permaculture Land Learning Project. Work has already begun to convert some areas of the meadow for food and there are plans to turn the top section of field into a forest garden. The project would pay travelling expenses and provide food, more likely cooked meals and some basic but cosy accommodation in either the caravan or workshops. Steve and Sharona would love to have someone here who could help with the plan. There is a small school on site, so this opportunity would definitely suit someone with an interest in children's education, forest school, woodland classroom, etc. Contact Steve on 07703601054 Email: oakwood@riseup.net Posted by Steve Parker on 24 November 2011 Getting Started: How to set up a food co-op or buying group in your community FREE workshop and lunch!
